The Summer Wrap

There will be little in the way of summer commentary on this site. While the spring was active with topics on the incredible run by the LA Kings and the Chelsea squad out in the English Premiere League, we are shutting down for a bit.
I suppose I should be excited that the LA Dodgers are having what appears to be a fantastic season. However, for some reason, I am slow to get behind this team. I had envisioned that the departure of past ownership would get my interest going--but that has not happened yet. Maybe we need to see what exactly they will be doing first and how they will run this club? I believe the last two owners have proved we can't get our hopes up very quickly. And The team itself? They seem to be winning behind smoke and mirrors and quite a bit of overachieving. I will probably sit this one out and see what happens in September.
In 2008, I was surprisingly invested in the summer Olympics, so perhaps that will happen again this year inspiring me to write commentary. More about the Dream Team? Beach Volleyball? That swimmer guy whose name escapes me? We will see if there are any worthy stories this time around.
